Ruth's Chris Steak House

Absolutely incredible. The most luscious, fork-tender, buttery filet I’ve ever eaten. In true Ruth Chris fashion, it came sizzling on top of fragrant butter. The potatoes gratin were cheesy and savory (a bit oily but go big or go home!). We ordered the lemon drop and added strawberry to it - delicious and STRONG. Lastly, we ordered a devil’s sin cake to celebrate my birthday. It’s a flourless chocolate and was closer to a chocolate mousse than a traditional crumb cake. It was rich, slightly bitter and perfectly sweet. The interior is beautiful and spacious. Went on a Friday night and had no trouble being seated. Service is excellent and made us feel taken care of. There are paid street parking areas nearby.

The food was very tasty and delicious! The staff and including the manager was so sweet and kind! We had a server who was training a new employee and gave us an amazing service and the food was amazing! Thank you to the staff and the manager who gave us a wonderful service and hats off to the cooks in the back of the house! The food was simply delicious and very flavorful food!

Ok so we went here for my birthday 7 people the ambiance was great. We were greeted by 2 lovely hostesses, we give our name the original reservation was 6 but we had 7 when got there so they asked us to sit for 5min in the waiting area while they adjusted the seating. We were seated right away we were greeted by the waiters ask if we wanted regular water or sparkling water 10 minutes they were back with sparkling water and bread and butter. Then we had our menues I have to say this place wasn't busy on this night not sure if it's always like this. The food was exsalent the wine was great the only thing is they don't serve mixed drinks like pinacoladas or margaritas, also they didn't have those little towel-lets to sanitize your hands at the table so we had to go and wash our hands what can I say we're clean freaks. All in all we had a wonderful adult night. Side note I suggest it's not really for kids there's no kids menue.

We had a party here in the private room this past Friday and it truly was amazing. It felt as if we were all alone, we had music, and ability to move around and mingle. The service was amazing, and our server Marlon was very considerate and helped us throughout the night with all our requests. The food itself was also DELICIOUS. The entire experience was incredible, and it made for an amazing night.

Took my Daughter for her birthday dinner Johnny was an awesome server ambience was excellent and beautiful pomegranate martini was excellent‼️‼️🫶🏽 Thank you ‼️the manager came to check and was also very pleasant Definitely will be back to experience Valentine’s Day 🫶🏽

Our 2nd time here and again, amazing top-notch service and food. My husband and I were celebrating, and we decided to treat ourselves. I opted for the pre fix menu, which came with the lobster bisque soup, a 6oz steak and a giant lobster tail, and creamy mash potatoes. My husband got the seabass. Everything was delicious but my favorite was definitely my steak and lobster. And for the dessert, I opted for the bread pudding for a few extra dollars instead of the cheese cake this time. Our server Joao was the best. He brought my husband and I complimentary glasses of champagne for the occasion. He also was so attentive and kind throughout the night. I love going to places where I will get 110% customer service that goes beyond the normal. Overall, it's a great find and so thankful we live so close to one.

This is a very beautiful, elegant, warm, and kind restaurant in downtown Jersey City, Newport waterfront area. The food was delicious. The area. was great. The staff was very accommodating to make my birthday night-out, even more special! Upscale $$ for classy celebrations. They are wonderful. Thank you so much, Ruth Chris !

Ruth Chris's staff at the Jersey City location is amazing. We were late on new year's eve for our reservation they still accommodated us, didn't rush us, André our waiter was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious from the fried calamari and the spicy shrimps to the chopped lambs, steak and lobster, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the strawberry lemonade was perfectly balanced. Paid parking is easy in the Newport South garage side, not far at all from the restaurant. I totally recommend both locations, the Weehawken one as well as the Jersey City one.
