First time visiting this place for a nice dinner and live band. The Pagode band was amazing, food delicious, great atmosphere. I highly recommend the salmon with passion fruit sauce. Yummy 😋

The staff must have been having an off night or something when we were here. Decided to try it out because the food and reviews looked good but our experience was the opposite. Our server took a looooooong time to come over to us when we sat down, took our drink and food order, came back with one drink instead of two and forgot our waters we ordered, and when the food came out it was not hot. The Mac n cheese we ordered was cold cold and we asked to have it reheated. Mind you we were there on a Monday night and aside from one 10 top table, the place was completely empty. There’s no reason anything should have been forgotten or served cold. I am a waitress myself and I can tell the server we had just simply did not give a f. He was very nonchalant, and as someone who works in the food industry that really bothers me. This was the first time in my life I’ve left less than a 20% tip. The one other woman working there was very friendly and even offered to give my almost 2 year old some balloons to blow up and play with. Overall the atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is really cool! I can imagine this being a fun spot to go to on a Friday night. My. Husband got a brisket sandwich and I got the pastrami sandwich, which was good but the Gouda that comes in it is overpowering and I eventually took it off so I could actually taste the rest of the flavors. My husband also woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and spent the next day on the toilet and he’s feeling pretty positive it was the food.

The shrimp more tasty but I could have had a little bit more than four for that price. My mom really didn't like the smoked potato salad she said it didn't have any smoke flavor in it and she said those ribs could have been better. She said the ribs were tender on one end and tough on the other.

Don’t recommend, in 2017 apparently Forbes said you can’t best their meat, I can honestly say that the quality of food needs to improve

You have to visit ! Its so delicious! They never disappoint. Best drinks ever! Coconut mojito & strawberry margaritas, moonshime shots ate bomb! Cheery, peach and apple is my favorite. Excellent service and beautiful outdoor dinning area. Always decorated for the occasion/ holiday. Servers are constantly attentive to you needs while dinning there. Restroom are clean and women's bathroom is decorated for selfie pics. Honey corn bread is rich and delicious. Tacos are fresh, seasoned very well. You can get fish, brisket or pulled pork. Their brisket is the best! Also not busy, pleanty of seating and parking on site. Steak coojed as you request with asparagus, potato wedges, mashed potatoes. Good kids options with right sized portions. Burgers are juicy and tender full of flavor with their tasty bacon jam.

This review is to the owner, Your place is beautiful ur location sucks. Your drinks are excellent. Your service is below standard and your BBQ isn't on point. With all that being said with my experience in the industry. you need my help. I would hate to see this beautiful place close. If interested reach out. Today, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at a restaurant called City Rub in Newark, NJ. I ordered the “double cheeseburger” and confirmed with the waiter that it was plain, as stated in the menu, which described it as including only cheese, slab bacon, baby arugula, and fries. However, when the dish arrived, it contained a sweet, tangy sauce they referred to as “bacon jam,” which I had neither requested nor was listed on the menu. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he insisted that’s how the burger is prepared, despite the menu's description. I sent the dish back, as I had no intention of eating something I didn’t order, yet they still charged me for it. Instead of addressing their mistake or offering a resolution, the staff blamed me and left me responsible for the cost of an uneaten meal. To make matters worse, the waiter claimed the management would “take it out of his tips,” showcasing an appalling way to treat both customers and employees. The entire ordeal was a reflection of terrible service and management practices, and I will not be returning to this establishment.

This was nice. Appitizers: The calamari was way better the first time we came, this time it was mostly the crisp. The spicy Thai shrimp was pretty good. Food: I had Bronzino with roasted potatos, asparagus, and tomatoes. There were too many capers in it, but was over all cooked nicely. The staff was friendly and attentive. Drink: Coolcumber (Gin cocktail) was pretty refreshing. I do think the drinks were far too expensive for the size, but that's a NJ thing I guess. The drink was well flavored. Both drinks in the photo are the same. One with ice one without. Exact same drink. There is live music which is really nice and folks dancing and enjoying it. 20% Gratuity is included and they do not inform you of this ahead of time. This is unfortunate as I don't think the service deserves a $41 dollar and change tip in the slightest. I would have 100% tipped 15% but 20% was reaching and not too deserved.
