I hadn't been to Benihana for at least 25 years and thought it would be nice to bring my kids, as we all love Hibachi. We had a reservation so it did not take long to be seated. Once seated it took an extremely long time for anyone to take our order, and the restaurant was extremely loud. Once greeted I was a bit disappointed to find that you only get noodles or rice, not both, as is customary at our local Hibachi restaurants. Our soup and salad arrived and not a server was to be found for the next 30 minutes. I saw lots of employees and a manager walking around, but nobody stopped at our table. The soup was extremely bland and after multiple attempts to try to ask someone for soy sauce, I got up and walked around for 10 minutes trying to locate our waitress. By the time we were able to get soy sauce the soup was already cold. Our chef was very nice and put on a nice show, however the lack if service, length of waiting, not all meals coming with dessert, just isn't enough for us to want to go back.

I have to say. I've been here a few times and it's the typical chain hibachi place. I'll leave it there because l've had some good experiences and some not so good experiences. I think it's a luck of the draw depending on who is serving you/ preparing your meal.

I recently had a fantastic lunch experience at Benihana with my family, and it was truly memorable! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. Our chef was incredibly skilled and entertaining, expertly showcasing his culinary talents right at our table. The food was exceptional; each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We loved the variety of options, from the savory hibachi grilled meats to the delicious vegetables and fried rice. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring we had everything we needed. It was a perfect setting for family bonding, filled with laughter and delicious food. We left with full bellies and big smiles, already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Benihana for a delightful family outing!

All food cooked by chef was very good: meat, vegetables, rice or seafood. Recommend all of these choices according to your taste. Tender, juicy and well seasoned. Nice show. Cocktails, salads and soups are just average. About place: crowded, tables placed too close to each other, you barely get move or get out. You seat shoulder to shoulder. Not too clean, especially restrooms. We asked to change our plates and cups because they were not clean. If you don’t mind to seat in a very noisy and tight space you will enjoy the tasty grilled food.

Benihana offers a fun and entertaining hibachi dining experience! The skilled chefs create a lively teppanyaki atmosphere with their impressive cooking theatrics. Perfect for celebrations, family dinners, or a fun night out. Enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine and generous portions. Highly recommend Benihana for a memorable dining experience!

My husband and I went to Benihana today because I received a $30. Coupon for my birthday in August. First- our server was very nice but I don’t think he understood what we had requested. We wanted one glass of water, one seltzer and One specialty drink a Guava Goddess. The drink was $15.70 for one glass of Ketel One Vodka, Orange Grand Marnier, and Guava Puree! I did not bother to correct the bartender because I’ll just write a review! The server did not bring the glass of seltzer nor the glass of water. And HE decided to bring two of the specialty cocktails at $15.70 each! We only ordered one glass. We did not correct him because, like I said, I’ll write a review to let customers know about my experience! And our drinks had the vodka, guava puree But it had NO Orange Grand Marnier at all! We did not complain but we Will write a review to let customers know - to be sure to check what you’re paying for! At this Benihana- Menlo Park NJ- you do not always get what you’re supposed to get! My husband ordered the Boat Salmon- it was good. We requested No added salt and very little soy. It was done correctly, thank you! I ordered the ( no garlic) Benihana Trio for $49.60. They cooked it as I requested. Thank you! I was Supposed to get filet mignon pieces, chicken pieces and the menu said Colossal Shrimp! I think I got maybe one or two colossal shrimp that were cut up into two pieces BUT they threw in two regular small shrimp! The server was nice but not that attentive because he was busy behind the bar. We requested to sit at the bar area! The lady that removed the dishes and glasses off our table was excellent! She was very nice and polite and attentive! Thank you! We went in there to see how the restaurant was with an open mind. My husband and I spent $79.08 after the $30. Off coupon then we gave 20% tip $21.00. Our total for lunch was $100.08 for two cocktails, two entrees. We are not complaining but Advising customers, that you do not always get what you’re paying for! We will not be going to Benihanas anytime soon. Thank you!

Excellent Hibachi restaurant as per its reputation. The service here was great with managers being very attentive and quick. Food was delicious and the chef was funny and friendly. Highly recommend. Communal tables take some getting use to so be ready to sit with strangers if you have a small group. Truly a fine dinner and a show

Fantastic service all around and a new favorite spot of my sons! Returned for an early dinner on a Saturday and it was so busy we sat at our table and waited nearly a half hour for our first course. The other family asked of we had been there before and it it always took so long, I had let them know it was not usually the case. Aside from that the server and chef were excellent!
