However, some reviews cited issues like poor steak quality, unappetizing pancakes, and a dirty restaurant overall. While the fries were described as fresh but lacking seasoning, other menu items like the baked potatoes and bone-in pork chops received positive mentions. We have not been here for a few years and after tonight's meal we will have to be coming more often. The Greek Burger 🍔 was excellent and cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed her fish sandwich and my son loved his spaghetti. Definitely get the hush puppies and fries 🍟.

I'm going to have to try them again. I made the mistake of asking for medium well... some places give the worst cut, and I think this is what happened to me this visit. The steak was fine on 1 side and tasted a little like spoiled meat on the other. I also ordered lasagna, which was good. The service was great.

Evening was good. Only small complaint, the pancake was a little doughy. The waitress was attentive and courteous.

I struggled to rate this restaurant. Upon entering, it was apparent the place needs a Food Network overall. Everything was tired and dirty. The place should honestly be cleaned from top to bottom. I had promised my family a lunch out and truly thought that maybe the reason for the state of the place is due to being busy. I decided to go ahead and order. We had a French Toast with eggs on one side and Cheeseburger with fries on the other side. We asked to sub sausage links for turkey links. They left off the original links and charged 5.59 for the 2 turkey links. Forteen dollars for 2 small toast, 2 egg’s and 2 links. The toast was good, eggs were cooked perfectly but had no flavor at all. The cheeseburger combo was cooked correctly with a large order of fresh cut fries. No salt on the fries though they were hot. Service was swift and friendly. Upon leaving, I tried to use the bathroom and wash my hands. One stall was beyond filthy, the middle stall door would not open past the toilet paper holder and the handicap stall was overflowing with, well I would rather not say. The female employee was casually washing her hands while I asked her was this normal? She smiled, went out with me right behind her and went straight back to the register without notifying anyone of the situation. Needless to say I wouldn’t return or recommend eating here. Its a shame that an established restaurant can fall into this condition. If not for the good service, I would have left 1 star.

I've passed this place for years in Newport News. Finally had someone with me to go inside and eat with. This actually had almost a Jersey Diner feel to it--albeit with a pared down menu. Food was good, staff was nice. Interior lighting in the street side of the place felt dreary but in a vintage way. I enjoyed the fries.

A homey Greek diner with lots of American dishes. Usually good, fresh salads 🥗 and great burgers 🍔 and hamburger steaks. Used to have the best fries 🍟 in the world, but now are usually semi-warm and limp/greasy. Good baked potatoes 🥔 and a weekend special Prime Rib 🥩. Oh, and the bone-in grilled Pork 🐖 Chops are fantastic! 😛😍 Shout out to Josh 👨🍳 in the kitchen; he prepared the best Liver and Onions I have ever eaten!!! 😃😋🤯

We've been regulars for years! It's our favorite place to eat. The service is always excellent! Victoria, Meghan, Sarah, Mike, both Heathers, Billie, Cheyanne, Autumn, Brandy, Elissa, who'd I forget? They're all awesome! Big serving sizes at reasonable prices. ☆☆☆☆☆☆

Definitely a good breakfast but DO NOT order the chicken and waffles. They were disappointing and overpriced. Waffle was fantastic (hard to mess that up) but the chicken…it tasted like frozen chicken tenders reheated. Not worth $15. Everyone else’s food in my party was amazing though. The 3-star is reflective of my dish but the others were 4/5. Wish I had gone with something more “breakfasty.” Service is always awesome and there is plenty of space to sit. Especially with larger parties like ours.
