Carolina Ale House - Wilmington

I was in town visiting our friends. It was Sunday and I needed my sports bar fix. Well this prescription totally healed me. First off I was blown away by our server! She was kind attentive. Secondly ordered the shrimp appetizer and asked for the kids meals to brought out quick. (My kids decided they were starving) Carolina shrimp was super tasty! Kids meals were big portions. I had the wings. They were really good. I got 6 dry rub and 6 honey buffalo! WOW. I think of myself as a chicken wing connoisseur these must be the best in the area! Wife also got the brisket quesadilla 7/10. Overall it was an awesome meal with our friends. I’ll definitely be back!

The wait for our foods was ridiculous considering we got there before the crowd came in. Then I ordered shrimp and lobster with the Cole slaw. When they finally brought out my meal the lobster and shrimp was ridiculously cold. They took my plate back and because I complained. Then brought my meal out about 10 min later and the lobster was still cold and rubbery and my shrimp was cold not to mention they brought out fries instead of coke slaw. Then I guess the manager came out and ask if the lobster was still cold and I replied yes. She stated that she would take the price of the lobster off. That was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Needless to say I will never go back again.

The salmon tasted wonderful but the shrimp had a funny taste to it and the presentation looked like it was just thrown together. Will try something different next time!

My daughter and I pick a different restaurant every week to have our Mommy/Daughter date. Last night was Carolina Ale House. Nice, clean, not too loud restaurant. We love Spinach Artichoke dip and there's was probably the best I have ever had! What really stood out though was our waitress, Sydney. She was awesome! She was very attentive, smiley, friendly, and fast. I get disappointed when I dine out normally due to lack of good customer service, but Carolina Ale Hose got lucky when they got Sydney! Thanks for a great dinner and service! We will be back.

Brittney has always been my Mon-Fri bartender/server! Brittney goes above and beyond during every visit.. Her positivity and knowledge of the menu and drinks are impressive! We were seated quickly and our server, Ellie or Eli I believe, was very attentive and had excellent recommendations when we were not sure what we were feeling like eating. I ended up getting the Pub Burger without cheese. It was very well cooked. Not too dry which is sooo important. I recommend!

She had a great sense of humor and seems to really be enjoying her day. The food was great and everything about her service was wonderful. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was great, and so washed spinach dip, I would recommend getting salsa with the dip, it just pairs so well.
