Customer Review Summary
Texas de Brazil in Rochester offers a mix of experiences based on reviewer feedback. Many patrons praise the freshness of the food and the extensive variety at the salad and hot food bars. The atmosphere is noted to be upscale and suitable for special occasions. However, the service has received criticism for inconsistency, especially regarding the meat carvers and the doneness of the meats, with several customers mentioning issues of oversalting and undercooked options. While some had excellent experiences with attentive staff and enjoyably unique dishes like the Papaya Cream, others found the quality lacking, particularly in the meat servings relative to the price. Overall, the restaurant is appreciated for its ambience and food variety but faces challenges in service and meat preparation consistency.

I always wanted to try this place it's mind-blowing everything. In this place was fresh, it's a 5 star. But the amazing part was, I wasn't sure if this was a buffet, but it is, everything is very fresh reasonable. The staffs are very friendly plenty of parking lot. Then the price is reasonable as well. Give this place a try. It's one of the best buffets modern, you can bring you date. Don't forget to watch the video I took for you guys and Hey, if you read this follow me for more.

Excellent!!! More than 1 dozen Protein option and tons of options in the buffet. Destiny’s attentiveness was amazing and Trevor’s gastronomy knowledge is unbeatable! Thank you for an amazing dining experience. We highly enjoyed it. (PS: save room for the Papaya Cream w/ digestive enzymes- you won’t regret it!)

We went to this restaurant on Saturday evening around 5:30 pm. It was very busy. This is a nice restaurant inside, and it looks and feels upscale. Overall, the food was best at the cold salad bar and hot side foods. They looked fantastic and tasted really good. The service at our table was not so good. We were asked if medium rare meats were good, which we said yes. Meat carver stops at our table were few, with pork, bacon wrapped chicken, and ribs coming by. One stop was made with bacon wrapped filet, which was way too salty. The other meats were too salty, too. I saw other reviewers say meats were too salty, also. Beef sirloin came by, which we were told was medium rare... it was rare... maybe raw (see the picture), too bloody for us. Our waitress told us she would have someone come over with medium rare; we never saw that happen. The meat carvers came to our table with skewered shrimp and spicy filet after we finished eating... these meats were not offered to us for more than an hour that we were there. Skewers of shrimp passed by our table many times with the meat servers, but they never stopped at our table until we were finished eating. The biggest problem here is that meats are not brought around to all tables evenly or in any particular order that we could observe. We each got about 4 pieces of meats, maybe 1 - 2 oz each, which included the bloody sirloin steak. Another problem was that meat carvers did not understand English nor speak it, which was a big problem. The meats we were served were way too salty. Getting meat served at your table is $22 more per person over the $32 salad bar price. It was not worth it in quantity served nor quality. The cold bar ran out of some food. The hot shrimp soup baine marie went empty at the hot foods area, and it was not refilled. The mens room was out of hand wash soap and paper towels. This is not what we would expect from an upscale restaurant. Overall, it was very disappointing, especially after spending $155+ for two. It's hard to recommend this restaurant to others. They need to improve customer table service and stop over salting meats! Ownership should read reviews posted here by customers and see the same things often written: too much salt in meat, too few visits to tables by meat carvers, and undercooked meat.

The salad bar is great and they constantly bring around different choices of meats throughout your meal and they also have great desserts. You have to try the sauteed bananas and our waitress definitely was the best

So grateful they were open on Christmas! I don’t typically eat meat, but did so and did not regret it. It was so delicious. Some of the best that I’ve ever had. And the salad bar is phenomenal. Don’t forget to have the lobster bisque and take the dessert home! Excellent service. Amazing food. I believe we will make this an annual tradition so I hope they stick around for many years to come.

I had a absolute amazing time eating here. My husband had a work end of the year party here for the first time in a few years. There was a couple meats that were a little to red for me but I won't complain. I also tried the pineapple margarita and it was so good. I stopped at 1 because it was dangerously good the alcohol wasn't as strong so I could have had more. 10/10 I recommend this place and it was busy while we were there. I would make a reservation to make sure you get a table.

I've eaten here four times over the years. The salad/sides bar has some great food, but I would love to see some additions to the side offerings. Just never get rid of the au gratin potatoes! They are my favorite item there. Eating here is a fun experience, and the food is all delicious. I love the garlic potatoes and bananas foster that are provided at the tables. It's very pricey. The cost for two people with one cocktail each came to $176 after tax and tip. I removed one star because they don't ready tables for reservation groups ahead of time. We waited 20 minutes for our reserved table and another group squashed in the waiting area with us were waiting for over a half an hour for the reservation (They were not happy). I felt bad for the people trying to eat in the front area with about 20 people crammed in around them waiting for the reservations to be fulfilled.
