The food was shockingly poor in quality. The picanha was a complete letdown — it was a low quality cut (choice or below) but lacked any sear or color...the meat could have just been microwaved to cook it. The sausage was undercooked and actually raw on the inside, which is both dangerous and unacceptable. The pork chop? It was simply GROSS. For $30, this meal is an insult, not only to the residents of New Jersey but also to the Portuguese community. This level of quality and care is unacceptable, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience.

Ordered take out, food tasted good but i literally could not let this one go without leaving a review. I am so surprised at the service. As we say, sacanagem meu irmão literally never seen a vinagrete of just onions and vinegar. Just so I am not called a liar there we maybe two, three small slices of peppers😑😂. Super disappointed as I order the small mixed bbq and this is a side.

Do not recommend from my 1st time ordering whole chicken with rice. Chicken was dry & warm not juicy or hot Pieces were all chopped up & not very appealing, chicken & flavor was bland ,the pieces were small , mostly bones without too much meat It looked like somebody tossed in people's leftover chicken ..beans & fries were good,

I live in the Ironbound, but the prices and quality of food is so much better here. The meat is of excellent quality and the service is great. If you come on a Sunday like I did, get here before 1pm because it gets packed quickly. The place is small but very nice. The parihada for 2, is enough for 3 or 4.

I came here with a friend and we had the clams with green sauce and the picanha. After having been here once 6 years ago, I can say that the service and food have been excellent all this time. Definitely a hidden gem!

Although the restaurant is really nice inside, We always get take out. We order the ribs and chicken combo and theyre great. The order comes with rice fries and a side of black beans. most places will only give a choice of 2 sides. Rei da Picanha will give you all 3. Very good food and fast service. Thank you, Rei da Picanha,

Took my wife here after searching for this type of food in this area. I liked the reviews and couple people from work recommended it. Was I happy to go here. Wife loved the food, which is the main thing. The food was fresh and delicious. The service Mariana provided was amazing, helping guide is through the menu on our first time here. It was our anniversary meal, had the picanhea and paella and some appetizers and delicious dessert azerrin I believe it was called. Deco a little outdated, but the food and service more than makes up.
