Everything was very flavorful. For appetizers we ordered the garlic shrimp and the calamari. For dinner, the picanha and skirt steak, side salads and steak fries. The mango sangria was also delicious.

Incredible place located just a few steps from the Ritz Theater. Food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. Real Brazilian gem. I wish we had more time to try the famous Brazilian BBQ. They have a full bar.

Pretty nice restaurant, was in Jersey visiting my sister and her family. We decided to visit Portal Churrascaria. The atmosphere for the entrance to seating area was great. The service ok, due to the waiters not really understanding the English language. He made ordering food a bit difficult. (The drinks on the menu, had a set price. But after ordering the drinks, the price when up an extra 2 dollars). Overall the food was good.

My date and I visited this restaurant on the evening of 3/5/2025 . Our waiter (unfortunately, we didn’t get his name) was great—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of. The food also came out quickly, and we enjoyed our meal. What wasn’t okay, however, was the unsettling experience we had with the lady behind the bar. From the moment we arrived, she repeatedly stared at us . At first, I brushed it off, thinking maybe she had zoned out, but after the third or fourth time, it became clear that this was intentional and deliberate. Each time I made eye contact , she wouldn’t break it, and I would look away out of discomfort. There was only one other couple besides us in the entire restaurant, sitting at the bar, and occasionally I could see them looking at the woman staring at us, and then looking over at us too trying to figure out what was up. It was weird. When I mentioned it to my partner, she saw the same thing. My partner sat to the left of me and it was hard for her to see behind the wall/ pillar and she had to lean over to look to see. When she did, The woman leaned over too to continue staring TWICE, mirroring my partner’s movements as my partner tried to see what was going on. At that point, I decided not to look away, and as soon as I kept eye contact, the woman walked over to our table. I immediately asked her if everything was okay and why she kept staring. She responded in Spanish in a defensive tone. What she didn’t realize was that my partner also speaks Spanish and responded. My partner let me know that the woman claimed she was "just making sure everything was okay ," which made little sense considering we had a waiter taking care of us, and we had never interacted with her or approached the bar. Our waiter was always within reach too. For context, we were the only Black customers in the restaurant. After she walked away, she didn’t stare again—until my girlfriend got up to use the restroom. At this point we were about to leave so I was over it/ didn’t give it the time of day. At the end of our meal, we informed our waiter about what happened, and he said he would speak to her. While we appreciated his response, this experience left a lasting negative impression and we do not recommend/wont be coming back.

The rodizio was delicious, they have a good variety of meats and they’re all so flavorful. My mom had the churrasco and she said its was delicious my brother said the same of the plate he order. The staff were friendly.
