The Fish and Chips is a standout, noted for its crispy texture and generous portion sizes. The restaurant’s fine dining atmosphere is complemented by beautiful decorations, especially during the holidays. While most experiences are positive, some diners feel the food quality does not always match the high prices. We had a great experience here. We had a big group of 15+ (we made a reservation) and the night went very smoothly. The staff members were friendly and attentive, and the food was all delicious and came out pretty quickly. I would recommend the French onion soup!

Loved our experience here! We sat at the bar and had a great time. Bartenders were amazing (shout out Wes!). Food and drinks were great. I originally ordered a vodka martini and the bartender jokingly gave me grief for it, turned into a fun adventure of trying amazing gin drinks. It’s fun to go somewhere and have a bartender surprise you with a drink (especially when they turn out amazing). We had the Ahi Tuna and the Blackened Beef. Both A+ great apps.

Ordered the Fish and Chips for lunch; house-made summit EPA beer battered walleye with side of tartar sauce and Idaho potato fries and a side of coleslaw. Massive portion alert! The fish was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chips (fries) were equally as crispy. The tartar sauce was spicy but not over bearing. Delicious overall and recommend. Service was great and the Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Inside the St Paul Hotel is a gorgeous treasure. Saint Paul Grill did not disappoint in service and cuisine. Fine dining at its best with a great atmosphere and staff!

I came and sat at the bar before I went to a show at the Fitzgerald Theater. We enjoyed a couple of appetizers and drinks, they do offer the full menu and a bar menu. Our bartender was fantastic and we even came back after the show. I will be back just for the bar!

My favorite spot in St Paul for a cocktail.Such a true classic. The bar is always super busy so it's a huge score if you can get a seat at the bar. Watching the bartenders is pure entertainment. Most recently, we had the crab cake and shrimp cocktail from the bar menu and both were exceptional. Martini was perfectly executed and the espresso martini was delish.

My experience was ok. The server was great, I will not fault her in this review, but the quality of the food for the price was mixed at best. The wild rice soup was excellent. The Hot Peppered Shrimp was...a bit disappointing. The presentation was a let-down and overall it was so spicy it muted the other flavors. I try not to comment on price, because each restaurant caters to a different crowd and this obviously lauded itself as upscale. However, a $100+ steak doesn't seem worth it; even Wagyu steaks. Overall, it was... an experience. I've read their Chicken Pot Pies are excellent, so I may come back at lunchtime (the only time they are served) for those.

Amazing food in an incredibly beautiful place! My husband and I both had pike - he ordered the sandwiches and I had the fish & chips. Both were absolutely perfectly cooked, and my coleslaw and fries were fabulous. Our server Richard is a prince among servers - funny, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He was simply a delight, and one of the restaurant's best assets. The architecture of the place was marvelous as well. Definitely worth searching out - ask for Richard for your server!
